3 years ago, I realized my job as a Tool and Die Maker will become obsolete in the near future. The great state of Michigan is in a downward spiral economically. The automotive suppliers are closing up daily, for good. I weighed my options, lose everything I worked hard to acquire or rely on myself and start a business.  Losing is not a option!

I turned to the internet, thought I did my research and invested in my future. The company contacted me by phone and after many sales pitches, with multiple people, I reached for my credit card! The business is simple, they build you a website for $250.00, you promote it for free, instant millionaire. It gets better! I knew nothing about advertising and guess what, they did, for only $10.00 a day maximum and you become rich! So $250 + $3650 (1 year advertising fee) = $3900 + $100 for some automated voice added to my site for maximum profits. Grand Total $4000. I convinced my girlfriend to put it on a Visa (she wanted to go to Disney World). I still have yet to see a dime or go to Disney World.

My search for an internet business that actually made money continued with more scams and money wasted. I could sell air purifiers as long as I purchased 5 of them. Multi-level marketing only made the people who started the companies wealthy. Although one company taught me several good qualities such as reading Robert Kiyosaki's books and motivating me to build a business. Many more scams followed during my quest to find legitimate internet businesses.
